Who we are

Mike believes in making clients’ lives better and that long term success doesn’t happen by accident. He understands that financial decisions need to be made with precision and loves knowing that his work helps people succeed in achieving their tax, retirement and estate planning goals. Working closely with clients and their advisors, Mike puts together high-caliber solutions while providing simplicity to complex situations.

For nearly 30 years, Mike has dedicated himself to the financial services industry where he has focused on family wealth planning and the benefits of life insurance solutions. He joined RBC in 1997 and is a member of Advocis, the largest voluntary professional membership association of financial advisors in Canada.

When not at work Mike enjoys spending time with family, on the golf course, travelling and being outdoors.

Chris is a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) with over 25 years of experience in financial services. He holds his Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting) from Carleton University.

Chris began his career with a major international public accounting firm for 5 years upon graduation from university. Chris then started his role in wealth management services as an investment advisor in 1997 providing clients with investment management, financial planning and insurance solutions. Chris utilizes his experience as a Chartered Accountant and investment advisor to provide comprehensive financial planning services to professionals, business owners and other high net worth clients.

Joseph graduated from Carleton University in 1988 and from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 1991. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1993.

He is an Associate Member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a Member of the Carleton County Law Association.

Prior to joining RBC, he practised estate planning in private practice and served as Will & Estate Consultant with Royal Trust Corporation.

He was an instructor for the Ontario Bar Admission Course in Estate Planning and Administration and has been an instructor at the University of Ottawa Law School since 2003 teaching the Will & Estate course.

Prashant has assisted high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families with tax, estate and retirement issues since 1992.

His guidance supports clients in their relationships with their external professional advisors, with whom he frequently interacts.

His expertise includes tax and estate planning for executives, business owners, retirees, sports professionals and individuals with U.S. issues. He also assists individuals facing significant financial events (sale of business, financial windfall, retirement, job loss, moving to Canada, leaving Canada, etc.)

Prior to joining RBC in 1999, Prashant honed his expertise by working as a Canadian and U.S. tax specialist for two of the big four accounting firms in downtown Toronto.

Prashant is a Certified Financial Planner, Associate of the Society of Actuaries and member of both the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and Canadian Tax Foundation.

Michael has been in the Wealth Management Industry since 1997 where his primary area of focus has been in investment advisory and wealth advisory services. Michael joined RBC Wealth Management in 2020 as Vice President, Private Wealth Consultant; a role in which he will support advisors and fellow professionals in engaging enterprising families in broader discussions with respect to their family, their businesses and their wealth.

Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management Michael held several progressive roles at other financial institutions. Michael was the former Head of HNW Wealth Planning Services at another Canadian financial institution where he was involved in the development of: financial planning software, a HNW service delivery model, specialized planning services including the introduction of business advisory and cross border wealth planning.

Michael’s experience in conjunction with his completion of many industry leading designations suit him well as he helps initiate client discussions on family governance, family business succession, and legacy. Michael is dedicated to working as part of a multidisciplinary team guiding enterprising families to greater success.

Michael is committed to ongoing personal and professional development and is a continuous lifelong learner. Michael’s greatest skill comes in his ability to listen and work effectively with his peers at any level.
